Top 3 Irish albums, hhhmmmmm thats a chin-scratcher. At the moment I'd have to go with: 1. U2 'All That You.....' 2. Frames 'Dance the Devil' 3. Van 'Astral Weeks' Of course this will probably change tomorrow.....

Jebus, what is with Astral Weeks always showing up in these lists. A good album I grant you but vastly over rated to my mind. Is it just me or do other people find that virtually every record collection you flick through has a copy but it is very seldom played?

I couldn't decide but ones I'm listening to at the moment are Kila, and Freddie White. Not to forget Rory Gallagher. Can't get hold of Heartworm at all in Dublin. Any clues?

Jeremy - I'm not a hardcore Van fan although I rate him very highly. Most of the times I have seen him live he has been inspirational. However, I do think Astral Weeks is the musical equivalent of Ulysees - you can be guaranteed that most people who say they rate it have not listened to it all that much. Astral Weeks is a fascinating album given his age when released and the era (1968). However, I do believe that Van's work as a whole is impressive rather than any individual album, hence the incredible popularity of that compilation album (whose name escapes me at the moment).
