The Sundays had a busy time in the 1990's producing some great albums. In my opinion their last album, Static and Silent, was one of their finest moments - great songs, melodies, chord changes and lyrics. That was released in 1997/8 and since then nothing.......... Anyone have any inside info on this very static and silent band... cheers!

no info, but static and silence is an overlooked classic...wonderful arrangements and divine vocals from the gorgeous harriet wheeler...also their most consistent album...my favourite tracks are monochrome, when i'm thinking about you and homeward...and listen to the lyrics of hit single summertime...not as cheery as you might first think!...the production is far too glossy (especially on cry) but overlooking that and appreciating the beauty of the songs themselves is a wise move...their other albums are very 80s guitar sounding if you know what i mean (chorus effects etc.) but contain classics in amongst the average majority, especially goodbye from debut album blind which is one of the greatest songs i've ever heard...incredible vocals, an inventive song structure and orgasmic guitars...hopefully the sundays are still around...
