I even miss gar posting around here. He was and is a very observant critic and i think Ally was more complimenting his efforts on cluas.
As far as I know Ally, Gar is alive and well and freelancing for a number of papers.

because internet message forums have ruined my working life... created a lazy brain who only takes in byte-sized pieces of ill informed opinion...
gar was alright... i thought he was too serious... but any conversation is better than none...

Didn't think there was anything harsh in it. I just was latching on to Ally's observation that he got people talking, nothing to stop Ally (or anyone for that matter) doing the same.

| Ah your missing the point Eoghan, not everyone can be a total engine of discussion like Gar was. Most of us just don't have the mental energy, and when people like that stop posting, it has an effect on the whole forum.

| Hey.......just stumbled upon this thread and wanted to confirm my status of still being alive. I started a new job some months ago, so been pretty busy with that ever since and didn't have the time to post on the messageboards as much. Glad to see Cluas is still going strong and a lot of regulars are still present around these parts.
