It'll be interesting to see what happens to Last FM after its recent acquisition by the US media giant CBS. With CBS owning not just the TV network but also the USA's largest radio broadcast group, will this mean that CBS will use their existing radio advertiser sales teams to increase Last.fm ad income? More ads to come to Last FM? Ads embedded at start of (or between) tracks...?

Have to agree. Pandora is (or was for everyone outside of the USA) a marvel. Although it's not the RIAA who are to blame for it not being usable outside the USA - if I understand it correctly it is due to the complication of having to set up arrangemets for licensing music with multiple parties in each country the service runs. In the US they can run the service as there is a blanket license provided to webcasters under the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Never really looked into Pandora too deeply. Am I right in saying that it doesn't have the statistical element that LastFm does? You see, that's what a nerdy little guy like me wants. :-(

Thanks to Garet for his bravery. I'm kind of reluctant to post mine now. I mean, I wouldn't want to give the impression that I'm obsessed with Bohs or anything. But I did promise.........

love last fm (née audioscrobbler) but never managed to get my ipod synched properly with it so tis pretty patchy...
