Apparently they are supporting the Killers on 22 August 2007. Kasabian, Marc Ronson, The Shins, Albert Hammond Jnr are also on the bill. All "apparently" as on the promoter's current page about this gig (www.wonderlandpromotions.co.uk/events/nlcthru.asp?nl=267&r=9&e=653) there is no mention of the support acts. However an old version of it in the Google cache (click the 'cache' result for the wonderlandpromotions.co.uk page in this set of Google results) lists the support acts I mention above. For some reason the promoter then chose to remove them from the page...

Thanks host my man, I saw something on Hotpress.com but I'm not a member so can't access the article. Might be worth heading up to see Kasabian & Albert Hammond Jnr with The Shins.

I don't get all the fuss about The Shins. Is it not just MOR AOR? It reminds me of the crap stuff the stranglers did in the early 80s when they were trying to be commercial (La Folie / European Female etc)

Hmmmm.... I saw The Shins playing live in Paris earlier this year and I was really disappointed by their performance. They were very static and their objective seemed to be to reproduce the album sounds note for note. Even 'Australia' sounded flat (compared to how joyous and thrilling I find it on record). In short: ticket buyer beware.
