Subject: Of Montreal to play Crawdaddy in August

These lads (or is it just Kevin Barnes?) are playing Crawdaddy August 1st. Looking forward to it. Really like Satanic Panic In The Attic and The Sunlandic Twins but the last one hasnt done it for me. I find it a bit hard to listen to, less melodic and more shrill. Plus, the lyrics suggest he's in a bad place personally.

Anyone else into em? For those who dont know em, I'd describe it as synthetic guitar pop. Swooping, unpredictable Beatles/Beach Boys melodies and harmonies with bubbly basslines and drum machines. Fairly psychadelic. And mad lyrics.

Anyone know the earlier stuff, pre-Satanic album?

I only have the gay parade but i really like it. ill hop on oink and get the new one and maybe another one...suppose ill be going to this gig too. cheers for posting

I saw them in Spain weekend before last. Pretty good I thought, really poppy.

Get me a ticket Norman and I will pay you back in Dime Bars and pictures of Natalie Portman. I haven't got into them yet but 12eu for a ticket cant be passed up. Although this gig will be their last chance to impress before they go onto the rejected pile.

They had better rock (or pop) cos if they don't....
