Anybody going to Primavera?

Who are you most looking forward to see? How are you going to remain standing/slightly sober until 6 in the morning?

as for staying awake...haven't developed any plan beyond including the odd siesta in my day!

I think there will be some seriously long siesta's during the day. Thank god I'm going over before the festival, so I might get to see some of the city!

Yes I'm going! Woo. I'm mostly going to see Wilco, so am only flying out after work on Friday night. I get into the city about 11pm, wondering if I should just drop off my bag at the hostel and leg it there to see Modest Mouse at midnight? I don't think that's gonna happen though realistically. I'm going by myself, so can imagine me being absolutely gee eyed by the time Wilco hit the stage at midnight on Saturday. Mental note to pace myself, which I know I won't stick to.

I'm going this Sunday to catch a few days in the city. I might go to one or two of the pre-festival gigs but I don't know any of the bands! I'm going to miss the Sunday night gig with Apostle of Hustle, Of Montreal and Malajube. I suppose you can't have everything but I still get to see Smashing Pumpkins, White Stripes, Modest Mouse..............etcetc.

It was a brilliant festival. I would highly recommend it for next year. Quick run trough of what I saw:

Smashing Pumpkins - Very good
White Stripes - Brilliant
Blonde redhead - Good but sound was terrible
The long Blondes - very good
Band of Horses - excellent through bad sound
Elvis Perkins - lost all equipment on way - sound was atrocious
Modest Mouses - gig of the weekend
Grizzly Bear - excellent with a help from beirut and band
built to spill - brilliant
The Rakes - good
Battles - were brilliant and especially because they replaced the Klaxons spot
Bonde De Role - gave it socks
Wilco - very good (even though I'm not their biggest fan)
Patti Smith - Sounded very good - loads of covers
Sonic Youth - excellent
Herman Dun - very good

The sound on the ATP stage was terrible to the fact where both Band of Horses and Elvis Perkins had to quit songs and change mics. The sound on all stages could be improved (the good the bad and the queen were drowned out by dance on another stage) by alternating stages better but overall it was worth it.
