is there any way of fixing the time on this forum? all the times of posts seem to be coming up as US pacific time or something like that. i've looked all over the site but can't seem to find any way to change this option.

The way of er "fixing" the time issue is to be logged in. If you are logged in the times shown will be Dublin time. If you are not logged in the times shown are the time of where the CLUAS web server is located (which is in Arizona). My understanding is that there is nothing I can do about this (except move the website to a server located in the GMT time zone, which for reasons of cost and the complications of migrating the data I am unwilling to do). It is not ideal I agree but it's hardly worth losing sleep over.

Where precisely are you seeing the 'wrong' times when logged in? I am logged in and looking at this thread and the 'right' times are showing up beside each message...

Im seeing the same.

For instance, the time above your last post Eoghan, is showing up as 23 Feb 2007 11:40 AM. Ive gone to my profile and changed the time zone to an appropriate one and its having no effect

Howzdat for service? Problem fixed within one hour. If you're logged in you will now see GMT. If not logged in you will the time in Phoenix, Arizona.

Times are working for me now....

rockchicklet, on the top right hand corner you will see 2 links in yellow, One is the "logout" option and the other is your username. Click on this.

This brings up the profile manager, with 3 options

1. Manage User Credentials
2. Manage Password
3. Manage Profile

If you click the "Manage Profile" one, it will allow you set your time zone

Hope that helps

Klootfan - you beat me to it! He is absolutely right. When you set up an account the system automaitcally assigns your profile with the time zone that the website is hosted in. Just follow the steps above and you're sorted. I'll look into seeing if there is anyway i can get the system to autmoatically assign the GMT time zone to new accounts, but do not hold your breath, etc.
