| | Serena Maneesh- Serena Maneesh. Hugely disappointing. Makes you yearn even more for some new MBV material. Better off just buying 'Drain Cosmetics' off iTunes.
The Postal Service Give Up. Long-overdue purchase made recently.
Starts off with the subline late-night reverie that is 'District Sleeps Alone Tonight' and then just gets better. Great backing vocals from the 'fantastic' (quote/unquote, Tom Dunne) Jenny Lewis.
Band Of Horses Everything All The Time
Brilliant band, brilliant album. Top marks also for their beautifully crafted website and CD artwork.
Yann Tiersen- Goodbye Lenin OST
Cliff Martinez-Solaris OST
Essential listening for anyone with unrealised movies in their heads.
Pulse Programming- Tulsa For One Second Superb, Donal Dineen endorsed electronica.

| | minotaur shock - maritime (needed some happyish dance music that could sit pleasantly enough in the background)
charalambides - emerald message (cdr purchased at their great gig last thursday)
camera obscura - let's get out of this country (third great indie-pop album by this bunch, maybe odesn't quite do it for me as much as the first two though)
counterrevolution - (a really good compilation provided by one of our fellow cluas types
animal collective - prospect hummer ep - (lovely)
as for serena maneesh, i don't think drain cosmetics is the best song on there... i do think the album can get a bit tedious though

| | Nathan Fake - Drowning in a sea of love.
I've had this on seriosuly heavy rotation for a few months now, and it just keeps getting better. Fantastic stuff. Think Ulrich Schnauss/Manual/m83.

Holy s**t! I heard Nathan Fake's name bandied about alright but if it's anything like M83's last disc and Schnauss, I'm there!!

| | Ladyhawk - Ladyhawk (Another fine record from the Jagjaguwar label, it gets better with each listen with plenty of stand-out tracks)
TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain (Slowly warming to this........it's decent so far but waiting for it to blow me away)
Band Of Horses - Everything All The Time (Saw these support Iron & Wine last year and wasn't overly impressed but they sound really good on this record)
The Rifles - No Love Lost (Surprisingly enough, this is a really impressive debut. Ok it's cocky and they have ripped off a ton of bands but it still works)

| | Julie Feeney - 13 Songs (rediscovered it over the weekend. 'Aching' is so amazing)
Various - The World Is Gone (one of the records of the year for me)
Peter Bjorn and John - Writer's Block (The Swedish music machine marches on)
The Beauty Room - Beyond An Infinate

| | ROCKIN!
Yea i have a severe weakness for dudes with big 70' styled afros like that - Albert Hammond Jnr, Cedric Bixler-Zavala (at the drive in/mars volta) - Personally i think its the suggestion of 'the funk'
