I'm trying to put a band together in the Greater Manchester area, preferably around the Bolton, Bury, Lostock & Horwich area's.
I'm looking for people(min. 5) to join/form a gritty rock band.
Ideally, to begin with, I want a lead guitarist, rythem guitarist, keyboardist/pianist and a drummer. I myself would play bass. Each musician would need at least 5 years of experience and be competent, if not exceptional, in working as a unit and standing out alone.
Importantly, I want a male, black singer with a blues/soul/rock background, who has a stong persona and an abundance of confidence.
Influences should be in or around:
Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver, Jeff Buckley, Metallica(Load & Reload), Alice in Chains, Therapy?, Led Zeppelin et al.
