I've been writing my own stuff on guitar and keyboard recently, problem is there's no lyrics or vocals - there are only melodies crying out for words! So I would be interested in hooking up with a singer with good ideas for lyrics - male/female, doesn't really matter. The tunes vary greatly in style and influence cos i'm into a wide range of music. For songwriting I would probably draw most influeuce from the likes of singer songwriters like Neil young, Nick Drake, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson, Burt Bachrach, Joni Mitchell but I like to throw in a fair portion of rock influences like the Doors, Velvet Underground, the Smiths, Joy Division etc. Theres also a sizeable chunk of blues/soul/funk/jazz influences in there too like James Brown, Sly Stone, Marvin Gaye, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock. So if you can make sense out of this mess give me a shout!
PS. I have recently bought a good electric piano and have a guitar. I also know a decent drummer who has somewhere to rehearse so its all good in that respect!
