Its an indie-dance crossover boutique festival for the iPod Generation, according to the PR people. Seriously, that's what they're saying. The concensus seems to be that its a cynical attempt at squeezing some more money outta folks like you. Dunno, it might be great though. I've been told the location is pretty snazzy.

I wonder how a member of the iPod generation acts at these festivals...? Do they run from tent to tent only listening to 1 song at a time? Or are they all silhouettes?

My hat goes off to you, Norman! But if it's for the iPod generation doesn't 'Hi-Fi' sound very Eighties? Maybe it should be called 'Altec Lansing inMotion Plus Portable Audio for iPod', er, 2006! I'm from Mullingar and the location is Belvedere House about a mile outside town on the road to Tullamore. It's a beautiful setting: the old house, woodland, lake, etc....Hope they get a decent line-up....

I heard a rumour somewhere that the festival is a joint venture between MCD and Gatecrasher? Can anyone confirm this? Gatecrasher made their name peddling god awful trance music from the likes of Tiësto, Mauro Picotto, Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyk and Marco V. If they are involved or if any of the above DJs are then expect a knackerfest of biblical proportions.
