Am sure thers is an explanation for this but was on the Jove site two days ago and the band name changed to Royseven. Anyone from jove care to comment? Just wondering why the name change?

Hmmm... Surely the best place to ask this is the Jove site? Jove is the shortened form of Jupiter, maybe when someone realised that the planet Jupiter is actually a failed star it didn't bode well for their ambitions?

I'm sure Carlsberg will be along at some stage to clarify but I believe it's because there was another band with the same name out there.

Hello All You need to look harder thethirdplace, plenty of avenues on the website to let you know about name change, I will let the band explain the reason why its Royseven but the reason for the change is as Unicron said, another Jove in the UK got there first, registered the name and have been touring Europe and playing festivals so thats why in a nutshell. With regard to Mutch's comment, yes the band are now signed to Universal Records and have completed the recording of the debut album titled "The Art of Insincerity" which is currently being mastered with a view to an April Release but will confirm this nearer the time. Thanks everyone and Happy New Year.

where does the name 'Royseven' come from? It sounds like the arch enemy of Xena Warrior Princess or something.

they got a 3 album deal with universal are they any good? i'm yet to hear them but hearing great reports from their shows as no album has been released. the fact they got a THREE ALBUM deal with universal is a good indication they are going places!

Is it not a 3 album deal exclusively for the German market with no view, as of yet, to release in Ireland?
