Listened to eels "PS: You Rock My World" yesterday and got thinking about great opening lines in songs.
"I was at a funeral the day I realised
I wanted to spend my life with you..."
Got a favourite opening line? |

Not just from a song but the opening line to the second Tom McRae record is "Welcome back said the voice on the Radio" which I really like. |

Hmmm...
'I should just get out of here and start driving south on Interstate 5,
But I need to stay near
In case you suddenly remember that I'm alive'
Interstate 5 - The Wedding Present
I think everyone has felt like that at some point. |

And they're young and alive'
