For those of you so inclined and also for our American readers. I am posting this simply because I got sent it via email. Any questions, I know nothing http://www.midwestmusicsummit.com The Midwest Music Summit, now in its 5th year, is a three-day music conference and festival featuring the best in local, regional, and national talent. With over 300 bands performing at over 25 different venues around Indianapolis for three days and nights, the event has emerged as the top music industry networking event for artists and music professionals of all levels. The MMS has partnered with the esteemed NAMM (International Music Products Assoc.) annual Summer Session. Artists selected to perform at this year’s event will not only have the ability to showcase for NAMM attendees; but, will also be compensated with credentials to access the NAMM Summer Session Trade Show (www.nammsummersession.com). Both events will provide a wealth of opportunities for networking with over 25,000 attendees and music lovers. Showcase submissions are open to all genres of music. Look for specialty showcases in indie rock, metal/hardcore, punk, fusion, jazz, jam & improv, hip hop, R&B, pop and more. There will be a number of solo singer/songwriter showcases added surrounding the downtown NAMM events. The event takes place from July 21-23, in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year music showcases will be held in Broad Ripple Village and Downtown Indianapolis. Panel Discussions and Registration will take place at the Indiana Convention Center. If you are selected to perform, we will do our best to notify you by June 3, 2005. Past years have seen performances by Juliana Hatfield, KRS-1, Robbers On High St., Marc Farina, Burning Brides, Ambulance Ltd., Elefant, Cat Power, Rhymefest, Copeland, Rachel Yamagata, Archer Prewitt and hundreds of bands from all genres!
