Well anyway.........I got Interpol 'Antics', The Radio 'Kindness', Joanna Newsom 'The Milk-Eyed Mender', R.E.M. 'Around The Sun', Elliott Smith 'From A Basement On The Hill', and Trembling Blue Stars 'The Seven Autumn Flowers' to see me through the xmas period. Might get one or two more though this week. For my Dad, I'm getting the Warren Zevon album that other artists sing his songs on, think its called 'Enjoy Every Sandwich' aswell as 'Real Gone' by Tom Waits.

To be honest, i avoided albums for xmas this year. but if i was buying albums, then i suppose id have to include For a younger person id pick up one of: The Kings of leons new album Interpol antics And maybe the republic of looses album When i buy albums as presents i tend to buy people albums that arent necessarily in their normal music focus. Just so that they experince something different to their norm. A cheap way for them to expand their musical tastes, or an expensive beer mat, depending on the outcome.

Old Crow Medicine Show - OCMS Finally, someone has worked out how to fuse the energy of rockabilly with the musicality of bluegrass. Drink malt liquor and let that cocaine be !

I saw them supporting Gillian Welch in Cork city hall, absolutely class! The amazing Miss Welch and David Rawlings still managed to outshine the OCMS set, but that was no mean feat!
