With the Franks 20th anniversary gig just around the corner, it got me thinking about how many times I have seen them live, and what other bands i have seen most often

I'd say our U2-obsessed CLUAS gaffer could beat your score, PQ.
It's rare I go to see a band more than once, perhaps because I get bored easily. Next Wednesday I'm going to see Jonathan Richman for the fourth time and that'll be my record. |

(...bracing myself...)
-
U2 - 34 (as headliners, see note below)
- Wilco - 5
- Radiohead - 5
- Bob Dylan - 5 times
- Yo La Tengo - 4 times
Note: the number for U2 increases to 38 when the following gigs outside their official tours are included (at each of which they performed a short selection of songs):
- Self Aid, 1986
- The songs they busked outside the Savoy cinema in 1988 the night Rattle & Hum had world premiere,
- The Belfast Peace gig in 1998 (when Trimble and Hume joined them on stage)
- Smithfield in Dublin, 2001 (the evening they were awarded the Freedom of Dublin)

Damn you Eoghan !! You've beaten my record for U2 - 28 gigs. (Also not counting those mini - gigs which I also saw.)
My runner up (or possibly equal, I'd have to dig out my bulging bag of ticket stubs to count ) would be Something Happens. It helps that it's slightly easier to get tickets for their gigs nowadays. :D |

Hey All
my own most often reads like this
The Wedding Present 11 times
A House 8 times
and more recently
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart 5 (with 2 more to come in November & December)
Ham Sandwich 4 times
So Cow 4 times
growing up in and around Tuam I've seen the Saw Doctors numerous times but I'll gloss over that and as for the Franks, only seen them twice but the third time is coming up very soon
