So, how was it? Who was good and who was bad? (The acts on stage, I mean, not whatever you got up to in your tent.)

Efterklang, Whitest Boy Alive, Katie Kim, Bell Orchestre & Fleet Foxes were performances that stood out for me. I also enjoyed Kormacs Big Band, J Tillman and Beach House. Unfortunately I didnt get to see Bat For Lashes (cancelled), Fionn Regan (clashed with Fleet Foxes), or Villagers (I was too slow a riser in the mornings). I was a little dissaponted with Japes performance. It was just a bit too electronica for my liking and in my opinion the songs came across as watered-down. Who the f*ck are Amorphous Androgynous and why arent there laws against their horrific music? Psychadelic nonsense so it is. Nearly all of the stages could have did with pumping up the volume, all except for that god forsaken Arcadia.

Alas, I wasn't there. Major bummer Bat for Lashes canceled. Am curious to know how the Flaming Lips new material stacked up live...

never made it myself, feard. always felt the volume was low. guy @ work reckoned the Flming Lips played a storming set and MGMT would rather have been anywhere than on stage @ Stradally, as ye were

Well guys this was the first year that my highlighted, neatly folded timetable did not pan out as planned. I optimistically brought a notebook and pen, hoping to review the weekend, but my lack of gig-going would have made for a fairly drab report.

Missed Fleet Foxes, Efterklang, Temper Trap, Moderat and Four Tet.

However - the comedy tent was brilliant. Dead Cat Bounce were my highlight, as were Steve Frost's Improv team. I enjoyed some of Explosions in the Sky and caught the end of Royksopp's set.
Neutronyx rave in the woods was another huge highlight and Krafty Kuts mashed up some crowd-pleasing tunes in the Bacardi B-Live Tent. Filthy Dukes put on a fairly decent set too.

The entire weekend was a little disappointing. I'm just not used to a mucky picnic. I didn't mind peeing in a variety of different places, but I did mind not being able to sleep at night, despite two ear-plugs solidly pushed into my ears.

Anybody else feel that the site had a different atmosphere this year? The place felt almost too large and spread out for me. I'm getting to the stage where I feel like saying, 'Remember when the picnic was cosy...'

Sorry to see you're not able to post an EP review, shame we haven't one.
