I'd say it's a Pixies/Breeders reference to that fair lady bassist. Ms. Deal is the epitome of the US slacker-generation X, effortlessly cool, great basslines, good songstress and a beautiful, and totally underated, sweet voice.

...and more rock and roll than Keith Richards! Saw the Breeders last time they played the Ambassador, their music so much fun it shouldn't be legal.

Hmmmmm, Thanks for that Dromed, I reckon I'm a victim of 2nd hand information. The Dandys have a song called "Cool As Kim Deal" (or something) on their debut album. This board is the only other place I've seen her name mentioned and I was wondering who the hell she was. Q2

Well, well, who would have thought that Phil Coulter was a closet fan of Pete Townsend ? My advice to the poor lad whose guitar go turned into toothpicks...buy a tuner.

Ok Eurostar is watchable if theres nothing else on the box. But I'm afraid have to go back to the bashing Mickey Harte got from some of you. Ok not a fan at all of the eurovision as for his song, have to be the worst last year. Is a well known fact that he hates the song and Phil wanted Simon Casey to win last year. Aside from that, go see him live then comment on his show, i'm a gig goer, and decided to hell with this I'd go and see his gig and have to admit his gig in December in Vicar St was fab, his own music is well worth checking out. Its true if your a singer/song writer and trying to make it, wouldn't you try and get a record deal out there. Enough said, go see him live, and this is from a person who saw David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, the Thrills (worst gig of my year in the Olympia), Bell X One, The Frames, The Dandys, The Waifs, the Fun Lovers, the Thorns, Neil Young in 2003.

No thanks. Already had the displeasure of seeing him live once, it's not an experience I want to repeat........ Q2
