Hello all, Anybody venture to DEAF, over the weekend at the Storehouse? I went on Saturday night and have to say I didn't enjoy my €35 worth of entertainment. I missed Plaid first of all, they were on quite early and even though I was there since the start I was wandering around a bit, or trying at least. Which brings me to the security presence at the gig, it was very high profile. Men in black were constantly coming up to me to inform me that "you can't stand here", couldn't walk there, no drinks beyond this point no drinks beyond that point. It was ridiculous, there must of been a member of security to man mark every person there. Anyway, apart from all that nonsense Decal were excellent, which compensated a little. Anyone else have the same complaint or am I just a little shifty looking and deserved to be watched like a hawk?

D.E.A.F., it's the Dublin Electronic Arts Festival. It was on over the last couple of weeks. It culminated with two big gigs in the Storehouse on last Saturday & Sunday. What do you get for your €35? Not bleedin' much*! I won't be bothering with it again. *With the €60 weekend ticket for Sat & Sun you got a "free" CD. www.deafireland.com

Mates of mine went to it last year and said it was the biggest load of s**te they'd ever been to - badly organised, the sound was awful (in the store house) adn the crowd was really poncy, in that they were seemingly there to be seen and not paying the slightest bit of attention to any of the gigs/music that was on - so te atmosphere was brutal - didn't exactly make for an exciting night out so none of them bothered going to it this time. Pity, cos it's a good idea adn some of the acts/bands that were playin are good. Decal's last album is really good and Plaid are amazin....Falgman did you go to see them in the Music Centre that time???

Nah, I never did. Saw them at Glastonbury though.
