I thought that the whole notion of stadium rock bands was that they were supposed to be exciting- have things changed this much since I started listening?

I also thought music was supposed to move me -nothing does at the moment.

I finally thought it should be relatively easy to source a decent standard of pop or rock on commercial radio or mainstream sources. I've searched, believe me.

Thirty years ago John Peel was playing Bebop Deluxe and Barclay James Harvest every night. A while on from that he heard the Ramones and the world changed. I could be wrong but in musical terms there has to be something really earth shattering out there bubbling under the surface. I hope so, I really do.

I have no problem finding music I like - BBC 6 Music has some excellent shows which I listen to at night, along with Donal Dineen's show - the only one worth listening to on Irish radio. The problem, if you paid any attention is that I have no choice in work. Hence my utter despair at the likes of Shite Patrol et al.
