Anyone see the programme about this guy on RTE on Tuesday night ? Apparently he's Dundalk's answer to Mark E. Smith. I was certainly intrigued enough to want to investigate him further.

Jinx is fookin great, breath of fresh air...

What impresses me most about this guy is that while i wouldnt agree with alot of what he has to say, his attention to detail is his key asset..very sharp, and very funny.

Jinx has been around for ages though, not really 'a breath of fresh air'.

Well, 1999/2000 therebouts, point is his style is observational social comment and is relevent and fresh actually.
I've been a writer for 9 years but I'd like to think that what I write could be classified as still fresh.....

as i suppose you would with your writing??

There used to be band in Dundalk in the mid-nineties called The Novena Babes. I'm fairly sure Jinx sang with them. Can anyone verify this?
They had a song about the square in Dundalk (local riot hotspot of a saturday night), it was deadly!!!

I can confirm this is true. I was asked to join as drummer but was in a band already. I think the song was called 'See you at the square(pronounced sqwayer)'
