well i dont know about anyone else but i was hella happy to hear that these two bands are playing at the Ambassador on 5th and 17th of May respectively.

I have seen Evan Dando twice before - one average acoustic Midnight at the Olympia gig years ago where he wanted to fight an audience member and one brilliant set with full band in some dingy, tiny venue in Edinburgh about 3 years ago. Im really excited at seeing this band in full for the first time, as they have got some fantastically simple yet brilliant pop-rock tunes that make for a very enjoyable live experience.

As for F.O.W, I know some people may have a bad impression of them due to Staceys Mom but these guys have been writing really great Cars-like tunes for years now with Utopia Parkway a particular highlight. I thought they would never play over here and I'm not sure that they ever have before.

Anyway, any fans of either out there? This has cheered me up as I am desperately waiting for Wilco to confirm for E.P.

Big fan of the FOW as well. Did you happen to catch them in the ambassador about 2 year back. Great gig. Hoping this one will be as good... new album on the way and all, if not already out
