I certainly wasn't bored but I was pretty bemused at times. I was still trying to get my head around what I'd seen 24 hours later. I'd never heard her stuff before and only really went through a combination of getting an e-mail from a friend who doesn't usually steer me wrong that day telling me that I should go and a desire to get out of the f**king house. I enjoyed the harp songs least but the second set of songs that she played at the piano were magic. I don't think I've had my sensibilities about what I think is good and bad so challenged in a long while. I do think the best thing about the set was the drummer though, he was doing some amazing stuff. What'd you think?

She'll be back in June at the future days thing. I'll be going to the night she's playing and certainly won't be making a point of getting there late to avoid her. I think I'll have to listen to some records.

Have we met? I'm not making any connection between your user name and anyone I know. It's a little disturbing you saying that you recognised me.

no, no... haven't met... just recognised you from that last time the wrens played whelans...

she's a funny one to work out, isn't she...

...i was a little disappointed some of the backing band weren't there but at least alex neilson (the drummer) made it... he is fantastic... in fact, many of her songs determined that he couldn't really let loose however... try and catch him in a more free-flowing environment...

talking of future days, any news on BPB date / venue?
