Does anyone know where I can get the stage times for each act? Thought I read somewhere that they were supposed to be giving this info but nothing so far on the Oxegen website. Maybe I was just dreaming....

They said they're sending them out to all email subscribers this week. Friday 7pm is my guess

They were supposed to be sending them out to subscribers from the 4th!.. but remember, this is oxegen, they think you should be happy to be getting stage times at ALL...let alone free ones

And a tip for the weekend. If you buy the stagetimes...which is very handy...don't have it around your neck. You'll get hundreds of requests from people to check out the times, who will then proceed to check out every stage, for every hour and for the next day.

Ohh... very good counter truth there comet!!! Couple of years back one of my mates, who happens to frequent this very messageboard, brought a xylophone to oxegen for that very purpose... but while initial results were promising, more men then girls tried to use the bloody thing...disaster

But could they play it? Could ya not have just gone up to girls and said "If I told you you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me" or something similar?

Seeing it laid out like that makes me realise precisely how little there is on the lineup that I'd like to see.

I can't make it this year but seeing the line-up there actually highlights a number of acts I wouldn't mind seeing.

Precisely. Seeing it like that really highlights how poor the line-up is. Obvious, crowd-pleasing indie acts with a smattering of Q-endorsed MOR pop acts like Orson, Corinne Bailey Ray and Sandi Bloody Thom. Then there's the usual, tokenistic second rate Irish acts with possible exception of BellX1. And The Who who will have a lot of the drunken kids scratching their heads, easily old enough to be the Grandfathers of the vast majority of the punters. They didn't die.

Im going to oxegen, and to be honest im more looking forward to the weekend, then the music of the weekend. Thats because I dont think its a particularly strong line up. There are a number of bands im looking forward too such as the spinto band, the artics (if i can get in the door), Gomez, the futureheads (if they dont play the new album), whipping boy... amongst others, but in general there just aint enough there for me. Its gotten a tad predictable for me, or maybe im just growing out of it...anyway, i reckon this could be my last year of it as i reckon i might just get the oreign festival out of the way next year before the gray hairs set in

yeah, the new band stage looks the best. Just got a press release about Oxegen news and it looks like they've um, 'adopted' some Electric Picnic staples - cinema, silent disco and, of course female urinals. There's also 300 communal showers on site. No more babywipes.

There is a Door to the Main Stage ? Is it like Mr. Benn's Door, or the one Bosco used to visit the Camels in the Zoo every day ...

Yeah, Sigur Ros- a shining beacon of singular, incomparable brilliance amidst the indie sludge. They would be more suited to EP, along with Regina Spektor, Eels and Death Cab For Cutie.

I would say you are the average oxegen goer. MCD had a big "This is confidential, do not copy" attached to the stage times. Tossers. Agree, when the times are announced the line up looks a bit sketchy seeing as most of the decent ones clash. Female urinals, they don't work and your hands will smell of wee

I'll take your word on the urinals nerraw. They don't seem to make sense. Even in theory. I'm really excited about Oxegen today. Topshop have sold out of wellies.

I saw them in action. Very funny and much screaming for baby wipes. And doesn't help when most girls leave it till their hammered to try it. I'm not a perv

I really recommend Donovan Frankenreiter for that early Sunday afternoon slot, especially if the sun is shining, which I hope it does for you. Played a great gig in the Sugar Club last year. Similar to Jack Johnson alright, but doesn't put you to sleep. A real upbeat sound thanks to having a keyboard player on board. And a great moustache as well-Very important.......

Very excited about this now... looking forward to seeing a good few acts on this bill, too. weather: Some bright spells on Saturday morning but wet and windy weather will develop during the afternoon and evening. 3 Day Outlook: Saturday night will be rather damp as the last of the rain clears away. But it will dry up in the early part of Sunday morning. Mostly dry on Sunday with some hazy sunshine and scattered showers. Temperatures will reach the early twenties again. Winds will freshen for a time on Sunday with southwesterly winds increasing moderate to fresh for Sunday and Monday. If anyone's around - Sunday Morning, 12pm Green Room. Drop in!

Don't think the weather forecast is very good, especially for later on Sat eve. Looks like I could be settling for the tents along with 65,000 other souls.

You're absolutely right, indoor makes a big difference but is the Pet sounds stage a tent? cool if it is. Which other stage is a tent, the New Band one?

In fairness this is the nature of any festival, it's nothing unique to Oxegen

I've probably told this story a couple of times before but I really like it. I saw them at Glastonbury on the other stage about 3 years ago. It started raining when they were on but I was so captivated I didn't notice. It was only when they finished did I realised that I was soaked. It doens't matter if it's in a tent or outdoors, they'll be magic.
