Gar recently opined in another thread that he thought the sax player from The Zutons was the sexiest girl he saw at Oxegen. Being from a generation of Irish guys who desperately wanted to boff Leslie Dowdall, this got me thinking, who do you think is the sexiest person in a band ? Namely, who would you most like to have up against a stack of Marshall amps ? Since Cluas is opposed to all forms of discrimination I am going to throw this out to y'all and my query is non gender specific.

It used be D'Arcy from the Smashing Pumpkins. Also yer one from Ash is pretty hot. I can't think of any right now except them and maybe Tom Jones! Ha
Sexiest ever though is definitely Debbie Harry from Blondie. Not only good looking but incredibly cool as well

but i have to say, one time fleetwood mac singer stevie nicks was the business in her day, what a woman, that voice, ...

Jared and Caleb from Kings of Leon, cos well...it's the 70s porno hair and tight jeans...and the bass player is all of 18 and verryy confident...
John Hassle from the Libertines
Beck cos I like his style
Jean Benoit from Air, he's waaayy too small but he wore a cape and an eye patch at the Olympia gig a couple of years ago and won me over..plus he's french and intense
David Bowie...older man, and well...he's just dead sexy
Might have to put Brian Ferry in there too, I know he's the housewive's choice but the man could charm the pants off Joan of Arc!
Jeff Buckley and Stephen Stills (when he was young)
and who could leave out D'Angelo (sp?) - for THAT video

I'd agree with Gemma Hayes and Lisa Hannigan (something about her voice). Also Nina Hynes was really cute and down to earth when I bumped into her at a gig once. I think the sax player from The Zutons is by far the sexiest at the moment though. She oozes sex appeal when performing live. Couldn't take my eyes off her during Oxegen.

Ohhh where to start ? In no particular order..........
1) P.J. Harvey. Anyone see THAT dress at Slane last year ? Sex on legs.
2) Melissa Auf Der Mar. Saw her at the Smashing Pumpkins farewell gig and was instantly smitten. All the more disappointing, then, that her solo album is gash.
3) Charlotte Hatherly from Ash. Enough said.
4) I'm probably going to get some stick over this, but I find Meg White from the White Stripes quite the turn on. MMMMMMMMMM.
5.) Tori Amos. Stunning looking bird IMHO. Now living in Wicklow I believe ?

Jules, do you remember the early In Tua Nua line up - the one that played Self Aid ? There was another bird with them who played violin, can't remember the name but she made Leslie Dowdall look like a dog by comparison.

She is now Mrs Mike Scott, yeah, she was lovely. In Tua Nua at that gig were loveliness in stereo.

In no particular order…
• Beck
• Lúnasa's bass player
• (back in the day) David Gilmour
• David Bowie
• Billybobthornton (yes!! he qualifies, but Keanu doesn't)
• Paul Weller
• The guitarist in ROL that wears the thrift store jackets
and if I really had to…
• Sade

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Bell x1 lads, I think Paul Noonan is incredibly attractive, although it might be the lyrics that did it. But then I wouldn't say the same about Damien Rice so maybe not. Chris Martin is a long-standing favourite too.

I have to say I'm not that adverse to Maroon5 meself (don't quote me on that) Hate the way people keep comparing them to Muse though: I mean, why?
And make your sarcasm a bit more obvious. It's easy, look:

A few very definite names missing here from the girlies point of view!
Top three in preferential order are...

2)Tim Booth (Tim Booth and the Individuals - formerly of James)
1) Billy Corgon (Zwan and former Pumpkin)

I'm ridiculously fickle so I'm reluctant to say who the sexiest band member EVER is, but my man of the moment is Jack L.
The two most memorable crushes from times of yore (ie. two that lasted more than a couple of weeks) were Billy Corgan and Damon Albarn. Yum, yum and yum!

Sometimes 'The View' can be alright. John Kelly is a decent enough presenter but some of the panel are usually wannabe snobs and the material they are discussing can be dreadful at times. Plus it's on on a Tuesday which is a poxy day to have it.

Remember Cerys Matthews? She's was a top piece of totty, as the say, in some European countries.
Whatever happened to her band? Actually, what was the name of the band?
Didnt she do a song, "Tom Jones" i think it was called, with that dude from Space?

That would be Catatonia. They broke up ages ago. I think she's doing the solo thing now. Apparently she was an animal for the drink as well.

Never liked Catatonia, but her solo album "Cockahoop" is marvellous. She got married to some Yank, lives over there, I think...
Cockahoop is largely Americana folk done really well, with bits of Welsh thrown in for good measure.

Ta for that.
I dont dislike Catatonia. I found them a little more exciting than the slew of brit-pop that was around at the time. And as I said, she had it going on.
