Sorry the other thread is getting too long... We've heard all the Stereophonic bashing and various other criticisms. Who would you rather see play Slane? Realistically! Don't forget your fantasy line-up has to sell 80 000 tickets... Radiohead is the only band that would keep y'all happy i think and they don't seem interested! Or what about having a totally Irish Slane? maybe with U2 last year that was the best chance of that ever happening?

Neil Young Badly Drawn Boy New Order Super Furry Animals The Wailers Teenage Fanclub Dreadzone Creative Controle I think this would be a nice day out. Whether it would be a sell out crowd though, I'm not sure.

David Bowie my arse! Between all those acts so far named you'd sell about 30 000 tix! So don't be so quick to blame the slane organisers! BLAME YOUR TASTELESS PEERS!

Red Hot Chili Peppers New Order Primal Scream Ian Brown& the Chemical Brothers all played here this summer on various stages. I'd love to see them all in one place. And throw in Bowie, Neil Young and Blondie as long we're fantasising here. Since we can't have Bill Hicks compereing just get Denis Leary. He's been doing Bill's act for so long now, it's second nature to him. marky

My dream line-up wouldn't sell 80 000 tickets either but here's a great line-up that would. Radiohead The Strokes Supergrass Watercress (back from hibernation) Ron Sexsmith Mark Geary (& not a single woman on stage either!)

I can't believe that those two twats off the ad are really in a band. It's good though because we've cancelled our cable subscription and I haven't seen such a massive pair of tits on telly in ages. marky

You're all daft The Rolling Stones are touring next year. Get them in with Marah, Chris Robinson/The Black Crowes and Ryan Adams in for support and then we'll have a gig!

Why in God's name would you want the Rolling Stones headlining Slane unless they promised to play material from no later than 1969? Then again, this is a dream line-up so the Stones headline, Led Zepellin on before them, warming up for Zepellin are the Stone Roses, the Rory Gallagher Band before that and the Jimi Hendrix Experience to start proceedings. If there was an acoustic tent, a young Van Morrison would go on before Lennon, McCartney and Harrison. Oh man, just thinking about it. Anyhoo, if one were to be realistic about it: Prodigy Radiohead the Strokes Massive Attack the Music the Coral
