Anyone know what the deal here is ? Did they not sell enough tickets to justify holding it in IMMA ?

Didn't it happen last year too, gigs moved from the IMMA to other (smaller) venues?

The entire festival was moved away from IMMA. I presume poor ticket sales. I was interested in seeing Aimee, but not for €45 w/ Sharon Shannon.

POD CONCERTS announced today that the series of concerts due to take place in the grounds of IMMA, Royal Hospital Kilmainham this October will now take place in a host of indoor venues around the city. Human League/Heaven 17/ABC in Tripod on Sunday 26th October; Aimee Mann and Sharon Shannons Big Band in Tripod Tuesday 28th; Seasick Steve and Amy Lavere at The National Stadium and An Evening With My Morning Jacket in Tripod on Wednesday 29th October.

Three legendary bands come together for a very special night in Tripod on Sunday 26th October. Human League, Heaven 17 and ABC take to the stage in what promises to be a rare musical outing for fans of 80s synth pop era. Tickets remain at €44.50 incl bk fee. Tickets for IMMA show are still valid.

Aimee Mann and Sharon Shannon Big Band bring both their critically acclaimed live shows to Tripod on Tuesday 28th October. Tickets remain at €44.50 incl bk fee. Tickets bought for IMMA will be valid for Tripod.

Described as one man blues phenomenon, Seasick Steve will now play The National Stadium on Wednesday 29th October with support from Amy Lavere. Seasick Steve is currently setting the charts alight with his album "I Started Out With Nothin And I Still Got Most Of It Left" which is top 10 in the UK and top 20 in Ireland. Tickets for this show are priced at €34.50. As this is €10 less than the price for the IMMA show, ticketholders can exchange their tickets at point of purchase and receive €10 refund as well as ticket for the National Stadium

My Morning Jacket will no longer be supporting Seasick Steve but instead headline their own show in Tripod on Wednesday 29th October. After a four year absence from the Dublin live scene, An Evening With My Morning Jacket promises to be a storming show with an incredible 2 hour set starting at 8pm. Tickets are priced at €24.50. As this is €20 less than the price for the IMMA show, ticketholders can exchange their tickets at point of purchase and receive €20 refund as well as ticket for the new My Morning Jacket show at Tripod

You're kidding, right? The bill was really Aimee Mann + Sharon Shannon? My God, who puts these things together?
